I like the way the bird is well separated from the surrounds, and feather detail seems beaut also :)

Thanks Phil. He/it has been a bit of a test subject the last week or so as I've never been a bird photograpaher. I was going to buy a teleconverter for the D750 to add a bit of reach but instead bought a D7200 to have the 150-600 attached all the time saving time changing things out.
Bit of a learning curve with the monopod but happy with the results so far. Even so, its not easy getting close to anything here regardless.

Nice shot pin sharp, but I think you will find it is a Masked Lapwing not a Plover.

Your spot on Barry as I posted in another thread! But everyone I know since being a kid just called em plovers. Maybe its a Victorian thing, Itd 3d Ani W60 Smiles 043

great photo, the shallow dof really makes it pop out, as does the bright yellow beak.
