Hi Chris, there is a small town about a mile to the right and there was enough light coming from it to light the landscape over a 10 minute exposure. It was pitch black to the eyes though. The sky is a high iso 20 second exposure as I didn't want star trails.Wow! Lots going on there, Barry. Was it a time-blend or was the moon shining from the right?
Thank you kindly Ed! Spookily enough It is currently a 4ft canvas on my lounge wall. It is a scene I've seen images of a thousand times but I hadn't seen it taken at night before.Beautiful and a stunning photograph.
I'm well impressed and the colours are fantastic and I like the composition. Not only does this have to be printed but you should enter it into some top quality landscape photograph competitions.
I know I sometimes go overboard with praise sometimes but I mean it this time with this photograph - I dare you to enter some top competitions!!!
Love it. For a high ISO there's no noise. Indeed, being there was spectacular with such a scene laid out in front of me.Aye, that'll do. It's such a picturesque mountain. Great work Barry.

I believe it might be Pete, it wasn't visible to the naked eye and was as close as we got to the Aurora all week unfortunately. What a great shot Barry! Is that a small dose of Aurora to the left of the mountain?
Thanks old mate! That's the nuts Barry lad.
