Out in the woods yesterday looking for shrooms after all this rain, looks like they have started clearing large sections of the forest I normally hunt so I may have to find some new ground.

Looks wet!! We've just been down that way, and got drenched a couple of times!
Really like the first 2, particularly, but for atmosphere, the first takes it for me.

Very much liking the first two. Love the comp and the exposures in both. Not too dark, but the perfect amount for a moody forest Nice work.

Thanks Pete, it was pretty wet. It's not really as noticeable in these small versions but in #3 it is chucking it down and I was trying unsuccessfully to keep dry under a tree. I tried a slow shutter speed to get the streaks but it kinda just looks like a haze with the low resolution.

A very nice set. I hope you don't mind me doing a crop of no.2.

Thanks, edits are always welcome Ryan. Not sure this is doing it for me though, I think the main thing that attracted me to this comp was the banding from the green upper canopy the dark brown/ black trunks and the lighter reddish brown undergrowth. I even went back and tried your crop with the full sized shot as crops from forum sized images can suffer from reduced IQ. I do think you are on to something though as the second look did make me take off a bit from the top to remove the sky that was visible.
