Had a wander about the woods today on a search for Fly Agaric mushrooms. Sadly only found a few and the ones I found looked like they had been purposefully destroyed by someone. Still lots of other varieties about, as to what they are, I haven't a clue.

1. This one I know!! Puff ball

You have quite a collection here. That last one is rather ugly, but it's my favourite shot here.

I hope you have a few shots set aside for the Fabulous Fungi challenge.

Cheers Roger, definitely kept some back for the comp but struggling to choose. Glad we have a bit of time yet... Still need to find that iconic fly agaric.:)
Yup, I'm also with Roger, but wouldn't quite say ugly..ha!
Maybe not ugly but I wouldn't be impressed to find it on my plate at dinner.
It's a toss up between 2 & 3 for me ............. and 4. I like the lighter colours. Nice set.
Good shots. So many varieties that it can keep you busy.
Really nice shots. I especially like #3.
Thanks for the comments all! Appreciated as always.

lovely set. We have some teeny ones out in the front grass, which I even considered getting the macro lens out for. then carried on with a hideous plumbing job

Cheers Steve, over the road from us was a veritable Smurf's village right up until our first frost the other day. Not the most photogenic lot but they did cover most of our neighbor's front garden.
Cracking set Ryan, 3rd is excellent, love the composition
Thanks Phill, most appreciated.

Great shots, all of them. Which was the one you were going to eat?
Cheers Pete, none of the above although I wouldn't put it past them for all these to be poisonous too. Saving that shot for the fungi comp short list.:)
