Managed to get out imaging the night sky last night. This image is about 3.5 hours of exposure time with 43 x 5 minute individual exposures stacked together to bring out the signal to noise and show you what is out there. This is the Pelican Nebula and Cygnus Wall located near the stars Deneb and Sadr.

Very nice! What sort of setup are you using for this?

Thanks - I use a Canon 400mm Canon lens with a dedicated ZWO 1600MM camera and NEQ6 tracker.
That's a bit above my level yet, just starting to get my head around it; furthest I've got so far is a 200mm on a home brew mount. It's a hell of a learning curve, but slowly muddling through it.

Wow, some detail there. Do you have it in colour?

Hi there, just gathered some more data last night using an Oxygen 3 filter that has allowed me to combine to the initial image. The Ha data (Above) is added to the Red channel and then the OIII data is added to the Green and Blue channels giving it colour (False).

Do you have any links to resources on false colouring? Whilst I'm not on that stage I've been having a look at things and there's a certain few websites which seem to be a bit (even to my limited experience) dubious in what they are saying.
