Sunrise this morning was another beauty! The smoke from the wildfires settled in our valley again overnight and as the sun was coming up we had some thin fluffy clouds overhead as well that really was a pretty sight.

I'm not sure if I like the landscape view or the portrait view better. I rushed my Processing a bit so need to go back in a make some minor adjustments but just had to share.

G'day MM

Playing with the scroll bar and #1, to my eyes the image gains strength by removing about half the upper clouds leaving it as a 2:1 shape
Otherwise - keep shootin' .... :)

Hope this helps
Phil

Number 1 for me as well, there just isn’t enough in the foreground to justify the vertical orientation.

It's a nicely composed shot. There is a spot of dust on your sensor just as an FYI! It appears as a circle/spot in the sky just neat the horizon on the right-hand side.

Phil thanks for the feedback I was thinking it needed to be more of a 2:1 shape as well but was hesitant to do so as I tend to do that with many of my images like that.

David thank you for pointing out that spot I had not noticed it. I will have to take a good look at getting that cleaned off. I think it may have been on my lens, we have had so much junk in the air lately.
