Couldn't get this close yesterday, but as you can see from the second image the water came up to just under the lamp, so it's dropped at least 3 feet today.

Its hard to comprehend where all the water comes from. When you see scenes like this. Devistating for those who live in the properties

I feel for anyone who is flooded and when it's like this it must be devastating.

Meanwhile, on the River Wye in Hereford the previous record for water flowing under the Old Wye Bridge was 574 tonnes per second. This week's record is 700 tonnes per second. Phenomenal statistic for a bridge that takes less than a minute to walk across.

My flood was 6 inches on the ground floor and they recon 3 month's till we get back in.
This is horrendous. What must these poor people be going through !!!!!!
Everything moves so slowly in this country, they shut the roads off then sit on there arses wondering what to do next while people struggle to try get some semblance of normality in their lives.

We have a few restaurants, bars, etc., along the river where you can pull your boat to the dock in back, but we don't have any you can actually drive into! That's a lot of water!

Must be devistating for all affected, my heart goes out to you all.
Somehow the tag line on the pub now seems inappropriate - 'Progess' has now managed to spoil it.

It is The Boat Inn, does that not invite service by boat? :) Hopefully not too badly damaged.

Unfortunately they are used to it, the level has gone back down now but the next high level is expected in the next few days so will be up to the windows again.

That’s pretty rough.... I’ve seen a fair bit of heavy flooding the last couple of weeks. One of my contractors in Cornwall did a weather analysis recently, in 100 days there were only 2 x 24 hour periods with no rain!

Not sure how this translates but I've noticed that since mid/late October that we've had only 5 days without rain, one being Christmas Day.
