Is it true that I can post pictures immediately? I use photobucket, and copy the image code (or something similar) but the 'you cannot post links' messages comes up, is it due to the way I try to post pictures?

Also, why can't I access my own profile? Is it the paid member thing? (What I wanted to do is make a gallery, or is that not possible for me?)

Another bump. This warning also applies to members that have been here a while, and are just now post padding to the 50 mark. Useless comments are not tolerated if they are for the purpose of padding.

Time for another bump? Even the first newbie to those that have been here for a half a year could always upload images from day 1. There's no need to drag up old threads just to get to your 50 count.

What I can't understand is why post carp just to be able to "post" surely people can post intellegent comments instead if they want to be taken seriosly

they do it usually because they don't read the welcome thread they are taken to, and think they have to get 50 posts to post an image.

Can i just add that in many of the competition threads it says that newbies can enter if they have enough posts, so get posting people, it might explain the spam posts and dragging up of old threads.

I would like to point out that I found this forum through the tapatalk app. With the app, it seems to "add" an image by creating a link to the image in the tapatalk database and not the forum itself. So I'm also not allowed to post images the only way I have access the forum... Through the app (since I don't often have access to a computer and when I do I an photo editing not playing online) so perhaps this is part of the confusion as well? I just get a message after typing a response and trying to show an example of what I'm discussing I get a message "sorry you don't have permission to do that" so this can he confusing and frustrating. I don't know when I joined but it was a while ago, but I don't post much, I've posted more often to try and contribute but still not 50, and I wouldn't post just to get to 50, but it might be part of the newer members trying to get to the post count for posting links?

OH that's the problem... It says the dimensions are too big and needs to be resized... All I was trying to upload was a screenshot of this comment... So... Even iPhone screenshots are too big... My files will probably be too, they aren't big but about 400k which I think is 150k more than the limit? Alas... Such is my fate of waiting...

If you're on android, there are plenty of free image editing apps available that you can resize with.

I just had a go on my tapatalk (android) if you attach a picture, you then get a thing that sais upload as and then "image" or "attachment" if you choose attachment it does appear to upload it to the forum rather than to tapatalk (as it give it the usual .

Perhaps try that.

Tried I swear I got a size warning, and I'm not jumping through hoops editing on a phone to show an image, phone editors are notorious for poor tonal range and subtle image issues and color cast white balance that cause me to dislike them and it's not that important.

I wasn't trying to start this as a "help me fix this" I was trying to simply give another example / reason of perhaps why some new members might want their count up more quickly. Especially if they have been members of other forums for a long while and used to posting freely and want to help and share because they are excited about a new photo forum to make friends etc

Anyway this is my last post here, don't want to rack it up by accident, just wanted to share a perspective the "elders" might not have considered as a cause of rapid posting.

I was just excited you had a film specific sub-forum!!

I cropped my image so let's try this now...



So now I know it's because the iPhone screen is too long...

It works if I crop it to a shorter phone image, but lose info of course... But at least the option works... Just have to crop...
