It has been dry lately so I have been watering the grass, new growth brings in the Roo's . The large male has been keeping an eye on his females and their young. This not a good time to get too close !DSCF4028.JPGDSCF4029.JPGDSCF4032.JPGDSCF4050.JPG

Those claws look like they could do some serious damage.

Hi David
Male roos fight seemingly all the time for the females in the mob. The front / arm claws are used (in the wild) to gouge eyes out from other male and the big male will balance on his tail, hold the neck of the opponent, and use the main limbs / legs to rip the stomach from whatever animal it is attacking. Over the years there have been a few recorded human deaths from roo attacks

the babies look cute (as always) but dad looks like he could do some damage. With his clackers too if claws go blunt :)
