Long shot but worth asking...
Our electric oven started tripping out the 80A Rcd it's on. That feeds an mcb for the cooker circuit which doesn't trip.
We thought it might be one of the elements leaking to earth but I swapped one out we thought it was and it tripped again.
It seems to occur when the oven reaches a certain temperature. I wondered before that if it was the thermostat tripping as the oven reached the set temperature but backing the temperature down till the heating light goes out did nothing.
Using either the grill or the oven element seems to trip after it's been on long enough (5 minutes or so) to heat up.

Anyone had this might know the issue?

I think it might be the element sagging a bit when hot & getting in contact with a part it's free from when cool.
This could be an insulated component where the insulation has broken down of just a support of some sort.

It's an issue we had with a gas chromatograph oven years ago that cost two new power supplies before the fault was located. Hope you get it fixed!

If you hadnt mentioned about changing the element i would have suggested that, as petrochemist mentioned it could be something that is shorting due to expansion when hot.

If there is more than one element in the oven then does it trip if you leave one completely disconnected. I would try each element individually to try and isolate the culprit.

Have you tried swapping out the RCD yet?

If a Hammer is not available, this may be an alternative fix HERE

Maybe a coil or sensor. If you are not an expert, watch out for high voltage thats is left when its off.

I really favour the element being the issue generally is especially when up to heat should cost about 20 pound for a new one ...........generally connect with crappy 1/4 push on connecters

We disconnected the grill element and ran the oven element (new one grrr) for 20mins at 200°C then bit more at 250 and it was fine. So looks like (better bloody had be!) the grill element doing it with expansion as suggested. Cost bloody £50 so better be this time!

UPDATE.
Well the new grill element seems to have fixed it! Thanks for the heat expansion suggestions on not in use element, I hadn't considered that.

Phew, glad it is sorted. Quite common for that to happen. You would have thought that in this day and age we could come up with a more reliable and efficient heater design.

I used to have a spare element for a creda oven we had as it used to blow on a regular basis and easier to have one to hand
