Anyone using SpyderX Pro on windows 7?

When my monitor gave up a while back I bought a new one and at the same time a SpyderX Pro as I never really liked the Lacie BlueEye.

Followed the instructions but windows could not find a driver for it. I let windows Update have a crack, and now it seems to think it's some generic thing.
Either way the Spyder software can't detect the stupid thing.

Anyone successfully got this thing working on Win7?

Currently it's another expensive piece of scrap with a silent s.

I had googled (after finding Spyder must be the only company on the planet to NOT offer a driver download) with mediocre sucess.

However, I did delete the driver in control panel and tried again, and this time instead of when I selected SpyderX from the pull down it reverting back to select after a second, it now popped up the serial number read from the hardware and seems to have gone through OK, thus narrowly averting "words" on review sites!

However I am now both out of time and inclination to take it any further today!
