Just Sharing Big Skye sky

Just been to Skye for 10 days or so. Mostly weather was poor but got a few snaps.

All pics are phone snaps, but those who know me know I love ultra wide angles and my new phone has a wide angle lens, yay! (Didn't take the DSLRs as I knew the disappointment factor would be high enough without them). The phone applies some processing in the images I think (like HDR) as the images look better on review than on screen, it seems to rescue highlights and shadows fairly well. I did some test shots on the beach with full sun in frame and it was pretty impressive.

Anyway, here is a snap from Kilt Rock looking towards Trotternish Ridge. No foreground to speak of so went for the fluffy big sky.

Thanks Chris. The ones seen here are the babies. The Cuillins on the island are proper committing ones, once on some parts of the ridge there's no escape route, you go forward or retreat.

You would if you went there. 10 days might be long enough to get a day with good weather

Thanks. Not a lot of control, basically on or off. The skies there are pretty fine, changeable weather like we had is good for that, so it's all real. The UWA (I think this is 13mm equivilent in 35mm speak) always does add some drama with a bit of distortion.
