#1 - Australian White Ibis - unusually attractive bird to some although I'm not convinced - perhaps to other Ibis.

#2 - Black Winged Stilts, a Pacific Black and an Australian Shoveler all just chilling out on the bank and admiring the surrounds and all thinking "This is Paradise!"

#3 - Black Swan preening in the lovely cool water.

#4 - All sharing an almost submerged log after much needed heavy rains. Pink Eared ducks, Black Swans, Grey Teal ducks and Pacific Blak ducks

Great set. I am loving the White Ibis. An exposure conundrum: white/black against a midtone background. What was your exposure strategy here?

A super set...the last shot especially...the arrangement of different birds in balance and the diagonal not to mention reflections makes a great combination of elements.

Good set.
Cheers Piquet, glad you like.

Thanks Mike. I usually use spot metering for the white birds and was unaware that it was on multi.
EOS 7D Mark II / TAMRON 18-400mm / 1/1000 sec / f/6.3 / ISO 125 / Manual / Metering Mode: Multi-segment / 400 mm

Thank you Brian. There's only the one log in the lake and they all share. The water level is really high and much of it is just below water level, so plenty of room. I'm surprised they all just seem to get on like they do.

Cheer BV. I get a shot every day of "the log" and there is always something on offer.
Great set!
Thank you David, much appreciated.
