I assume it was a load of ice particles picking up the rays but it isn't rainbow coloured as I have seen before. It's in all the images taken around that time in that spot of the sky when taken from varying angles so it definitely isn't an optical flare. Weird! It's a different world up there. The third appeals to me the most.
Any idea what the strange flare like effect directly above the sun in the cloud is in the fourth picture? Looks like the light from the rising sun reflection off the cloud.
The whole island was under a blanket Steve, the top was only a couple of hundred feet above the highest point which usnt saying much as we top out at about 350ft!I'me guessing you could see nothing but clagg on the ground?
he drone really is cool for breaking free of that, when there are no huge peaks to slog up.
True. Tho stations on there do well with the sea path, and get good propagation, which is bothersome for me lolThe whole island was under a blanket Steve, the top was only a couple of hundred feet above the highest point which usnt saying much as we top out at about 350ft!
I haven't done it yet Stephen but will do imminently as it seems worthwhile.Nice shots Barry, have you done the new A2 CofC as all the drone laws changed on 1st Jan, you can now work commercially with a drone with the new A2 CofC and only cost's around £100 for a 5 year certificate rather than the old Pfco which could cost up to £2000.
