Afternoon I am back again!!
Just building my new pc and want advice on how you set up Lightroom before I start adding photos.
Have read that using one catalogue is best then read that multiple catalogues is best.
Advice from those using Lightroom would be greatly appreciated.
( Move if I have posted in wrong section)
Thanks in advance

I personally only ever use one catalogue. When you launch lightroom for the first time it will create a catalogue for you. If you want to start new catalogues, it's file>new catalogue. When LR is shutdown, and then reopened, it will open the last catalogue you had open. I have never seen the need to create more than one catalogue. Catalogue files can get very large, last time I looked mine was 13gb.

When I got my new laptop a couple of months ago I asked the same question and the general consensus was to stick with one.

Ok thanks for quick replies.
What's the best way to make stuff easily findable just thinking of the future, hopefully save me having to redo things.
