Just Sharing Mam Tor failed me this time

Hi.... I posted my first forum thread a few weeks ago with some archive images from Mam Tor and Winnats pass in which I was lucky enough to get a fantastic cloud inversion, so with autumn now here I revisited at the weekend but unfortunately didn't get the low lying mist I was hoping for.
But these are some of the shots I managed to get anyway...

I agree, #2 is a winner. Perfect comp and even better exposure, great shot.

I also love the last one. I don't know if you were consciously making a statement with that one, but it certainly speaks volumes. I think the B+W fits this image perfect as well, great capture.

Thanks intwophoto.... I can't take any credit for the exposure as it was taken on a phone in auto mode. The B+W shot wasn't intended as a statement, but I do like getting contrasting subjects in my photos whether that be old and new or in this instance nature and industry.

The very first photo gives a wonderful show of the scale of the area, so very much that makes me want to go there and wander around. I cannot see why you would consider this as a failed attempt in any way.

Thanks Trevor..... The "failed me this time" was a reference to my first posting on this forum in which I posted some images from my only other visit to Mam Tor and saying that I needed to return (in the hope of getting the same weather conditions)....
