Not sure why a snake is graphic content? I have to admit they scare the heck out of me though but I'm OK looking at pictures of them. This has to be a rare thing to see? What part of the country was this taken in?

Wow, just a little bubba snake! Nicely spotted Mark, we get these in our local woods but I have only ever seen the tips of their tails as they slip into the undergrowth. Very flighty snakes so long as you don't step on them I hear...

The forum taliban recognised the "Miss" bit, and assumed the photo needed a warning............:)

They are quite delightful creatures, but are very wary of any disturbance and ground tremors. I used to worried about them, but I now actively seek them out. These photos (Flickr) were taken at the Llangloffan Nature Reserve near Fishguard. A Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales..:)

Yes, but yesterday, at Llangloffan, near Fishguard, I saw a flighty grass snake, too fast for me, but the adders were far more laid back. I photo'd this male adder twice, 20 minutes apart. It has not moved, though I passed in on a boardwalk. Two other visitors passed it twice without seeing it. The little Miss, stayed put for a good ten minutes, then only slunk off into the undergrowth after 3 of us were staring at, and photoing it...

You have some interesting stuff on Flickr, just added you as a follow. I notice you have the Olympus 300mm f/4, is it a worthy investment? I'm tempted but its not exactly cheap

Thanks for that. yes the Zuiko 300mm is a super lens, I often use the 1.4-MC on it as well. The 100-400 Olympus lens has good reviews, and gives you a bit of flexibility...

Yes it works well, as long as you have good light. It pushes up the aperture to f8, and the IS works well with it.

I do have that MC, but don't use it too often. These MC's work with the 100-400mm as well.

I prefer the 1.4 to the 2.0...
