Nicely caught. Is this a visitor to your garden? If so I am very jealous.:)

Thank you and Yes, lucky here on the Isle of Wight to have lots of Reds.
I placed an old rope down my garden from a small copse to the rear. This one and at least 4 others are regular visitors.
Although I have a nut feeder I try to avoid disturbing them in any way, its such fun to watch them playing, this shot was from indoors and way back from the open patio door so I could not be seen.

Yesterday this one took on a Magpie and won !

Very good shot. Are these related to the US squirrel? I always thought the US was the only place to have them till I visited Taiwan.

Thankyou - From the Wildlife Trust Website "There are two species of squirrel in the UK; red squirrels and grey squirrels. Populations are currently estimated at approximately 140,000 red squirrels and 2.5 million grey squirrels. Red squirrels are our native species and have lived in the UK for around 10,000 years, Grey squirrels were introduced to the UK from North America by the Victorians in the 1800s, the first record of them escaping and establishing a wild population is 1876."

Hah! Ryan's jealous - at least he's probably seen them before. I've never laid eyes on one. Beautifully presented and it should be on the cover of National Geographic!! Far from a beginner photo :)
