This isn't any sort of political support post, I was just there at the right time and recorded it. And we don't discuss politics on the forum

My wife and I had arranged to meet our eldest daughter in town (London UK) and we bumped into these 'collaborative' London protests that all took place in one big protest march today, we were totally unaware that this was happening. They ranged from the protesters in the first four images, to anti covid vaccine/ anti lock down/anti facemask/anti uk government in subsequent images.
My wife and daughter did take refuge in a shop whilst this was going on, but too good an opportunity to miss
nb the last image did amuse me

Great set of shots there. I like the b&w process too as it helps give some drama to the events. Glad you got your camera out, I am too shy around so many people.

Thanks Phil. This was actually Oxford St, and I must admit I had one close call when the demonstrators decided to walk the entire width of the road including the pavement (I think they should have been in the road only) I was on my way to being out almost mid street at that point, but managed to find an escape route (just).

Sort of like an OAP march - they all meet up to moan about something but forget what it was that they wanted to protest about :exit:

Good set and very topical - even if they can't sort themselves out as to what they're trying to have rectified

There certainly was a diversity of protest topics Edward. I had seen a photographer in a green (photographers?) vest taking photos earlier on in the protests, with quite high end kit. Later on, we had stopped outside the Microsoft store, when who should walk past in the protest but him, he stopped and shouted a torrent of abuse at the Microsoft shop and Bill Gates (using choice parts of the Queen’s English). I did wonder what he would use later on to load his photos onto though…..

Did you get any of the recent anti lock down march - I saw some great footage of it and it was massive.

Good pictures BTW, lovely processing.

These were from last Saturday in London, and the last 5 images were all the anti covid, anti vaccination part of the protests. I must admit, by time I had taken the last image, the smell of weed in the air was quite powerful. (My wife being super naive, I had to explain what the smell was)
