Greetings to you,

I am an enthusiastic Amateur Photographer Trying to hone my new skills.
My earliest memories were of my father using a camera to take Black & White family Photos. He would develop the film at home, stringing the negatives to dry over the bathtub. I have always been intrigued by the Mechanics of photography. My thinking, photography was a "Skill" like learning to be an auto mechanic. Learning how to use, what seemed to me, endless settings on a camera, not understanding until much older, there is also an Art to photography.

I've never "Really" shot film, with exception of my little Minolta Freedom instamatic. When I was praised by others over a few lovely landscapes - sunsets images, I gathered that capturing good images was easier than I imagined. I just "Point and Shoot" and amazing images appear... I would like to make more of these pictures.... If only it wasn't so expensive to develop all that film.

In my mid 30's I was provided by my employer a 3.2mp Point & Shoot digital camera to document equipment and conditions on job sites. I saw the unlimited memory as a means to take what seemed like unlimited "Pictures of Sunsets". Then Dumping the images to my computer, No harm, No foul...

That little Point & Shoot camera began a 20 plus year love affair with capturing and conveying the beauty and emotion that All of nature illicit, through the medium of Photography. Exploring the many aspects and Genre of Photography has had its challenges, I've tried Fashion photography, Portrait, Food, Floral, Wedding, Landscape, and now Wildlife. Each and every experience adds another dimension to my skills.

When presented with the opportunity to photograph incidental wildlife, I was always eager to capture an image.

As a photographer, I like to stretch myself beyond my comfort zones, but wildlife images were not my pursuit.

In June of 2020, I had the opportunity to photograph many Diving Osprey at a lake where we vacationed in Northern Arizona, USA.

Thus, I fell in love with Wildlife photography.

Learning this New skill meant acquiring New equipment, finding New locations, New camera settings, and a steep New learning curve that has ignited a New desire to integrate my love for landscape with wildlife photography.

I hope you enjoy the images I have created over these last many years as much as I have enjoyed the adventures of capturing each one.

Thanks Paul,
I have been having a little trouble understanding how to post an image to forum.
Is there a thread with instruction for the simpletons???
I have been able to post some images in wildlife forum, but I can tell I'm not getting it right.

Hi Shawn.
I apologise for our tardiness in recreating a resources section that got wiped out in the last forum software upgrade. I must get on that.
At the bottom left of every message window is a paper clip that says "Attach files". Click on that to select the image from your computer and the image will pop into your reply as a thumbnail. Now, you can tick where it says "Full image" and then upload more, or post your thread.
